Ermeto

Ermeto invented the classic cutting ring system for tubes in 1934. Today Ermeto is part of Parker Hannifin, and the name is closely associated with the EO range of tube fittings for hydraulics.

What are Ermeto EO tube fittings?

Ermeto EO (24° bite-type) are tube fittings in which a cutting ring bites into the tube surface in a controlled manner, creating a robust mechanical hold. The design has been developed to provide a secure, leak-free connection, even in demanding hydraulic installations.

EO fittings are among the most widely used tube fittings worldwide and are designed to meet DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 (depending on version and series).

EO-2 and EO-3 – in brief

  • EO-2 (introduced in 1991) is a proven fitting series used widely in transport, mobile hydraulics and agriculture, among others.
  • EO-3 (introduced in 2013) is the further development for applications where even greater assembly reliability and performance are typically required.

When choosing, it often comes down to tube type, sealing requirements, assembly conditions and the desired serviceability.
