Parker EO-2 cutting ring fittings – Avoid leakage in a hydraulic system

Regular hydraulic cutting ring fittings do no longer meet industry demands for leak-free hydraulic systems, but Parker’s EO-2 fitting do.

At Hymatik we have extensive experience with the EO-2 Plus functional nut with “dry technology” from Parker Hannifin. The EO-2 Plus functional nut meets industry demands for pressure and leak-free hydraulic tube systems.  

EO-2 with elastomeric seals

EO-2 fittings ensure a system that does not “sweat” at the fitting joints. Generally, the current trend regarding hydraulic systems, is to use elastomeric seals to ensure leak-free systems. EO-2 fittings were designed with exactly this in mind and thus utilizes an elastomeric seal at the tube side to ensure leak-free systems.                                      

Ever since its launch, 25 years ago, the EO-2 fitting series has been used millions of times and has proven its worth with its unique properties. E.g. EO-2 fittings can be used without an inner cone and has a build-in hardened steel ring, which guides the cutting ring correctly into the hydraulic tube. This function makes it easy to visually confirm that the gap between the cutting ring and the seal is closed. The seal and the cutting ring are integrated into the nut ensuring they will not come apart before installation. This feature makes the EO-2 fittings easy to work with and minimizes installation cost and ensures few mistakes in the installation process.

Utilizing EO-2 fittings ensure leakage caused by dirt or scratches in the tube are avoided and maintains a leak-free system without the need for re-tightening. This quality is maintained even under extreme working conditions.

EO-2 Plus Functional Nut

The Functional nut is available in dimensions for LL, L, S from 4LL to 38S. The EO-2 series is produced to comply with the German Standard DIN2353 and the International Standard ISO8434-1 and is available in steel with Cr(VI) and NBR seals or in stainless steel 316TI with silver brazing and FKM seal.

EO-2 fittings can be used in applications up to 800 bar (S-series) and 500 bar (L-series), both with safety factor of 4.

Reliability is an important factor for us and reliability is exactly what EO-2 fitting series represents, as it performs without problem in a variety of applications, e.g. mobile constructions equipment, marine applications, stationary tools/machines, wind turbine and more.  

The EO-2 fittings series is compatible with Parker Hannifin’s regular DIN fittings and come with clear assembly instructions, which makes assembly/disassembly and reuse easy. The elastomeric seals EO-2 Plus fittings can absorb heavy vibrations and pressure impulses and can handle aggressive media with NBR or FKM seals. The EO-2 series gives you excellent sealing, compacity and durability.
