Quality assurance

At Hymatik, quality assurance of our hose assembly in our workshop is of the highest priority. We use products from Parker Hannifin, all of which are products of a very high standard.

We work according to the FIFO method (first-in first-out).

To ensure that you get uniform products, we have clear procedures that must be followed when we do hose assembly.

Quality assurance of hose assembly

When we crimp hydraulic hoses, safety, quality and cleanliness are key words for us. We only use high quality components from the same manufacturer or in special cases components from different manufacturer, but which are approved to be used together. A clean hose is a must for us, and therefore this is an important part of our procedure description for manufacturing a new hose. This helps to ensure a longer service life for the hose.

In addition, all hoses are marked with a PTS label, so it is easy and quick to get a new hose made when the old one needs to be replaced.

Procedure for crimping hydraulic hoses

Based on the procedure description below, all hydraulic hoses produced will meet the ISO 19/18/12 standard.

  1. Check components. First we find all the components we need. We check that they are the right ones and that they have no defects.
  2. Marking of fitting. If the customer so wishes, one fitting end will be marked with the customer's item number and date.
  3. Cut hose. We measure the hose to the right length and cut it.
  4. Blowing and marking. After the hose has been cut to the correct length, we blow it with compressed air from both ends, to make it clean. Then each end of the hose is marked with a yellow marker to match the insertion depth of the specific fittings.
  5. Push fitting on. We push the fitting on the hose until the yellow mark is flush with the edge of the fitting.
  6. Crimping. We crimp fittings on the hose using our crimping machine, based on the selected diameter.
  7. Sealing. The hose is blown through from both sides again, before we put capsules on at both ends, to ensure that the hose stays clean.
