Reverse osmosis for demanding operations

Parker Village Marine is known for reverse osmosis (RO), where salt, particles and dissolved impurities are removed by forcing water through a semipermeable membrane. This delivers a consistent quality of fresh water, even when the feed water varies.

Typical applications

The solutions are used for, among other things:

• Ships and vessels (drinking water, ice production, showers, dishwashing and laundry on board).
• Offshore installations and drilling platforms.
• Operations in remote areas such as deserts and disaster zones.

NASA is among the organisations that have requested self-contained RO systems for emergency preparedness — one example of just how robust these systems are.
