Taiyo
Taiyo develops and manufactures automation products for industry, in particular hydraulic and pneumatic actuators and cylinders as well as selected, specialised pneumatic components. The products are typically used where there are demands for operational reliability, repeat accuracy and robust mechanical design.
History and connection to Parker
Taiyo was established in 1933 in Osaka, Japan. In 2002, Taiyo entered into a business alliance with Parker Hannifin, in which Parker acquired a share of the company. In 2012, Parker Hannifin took over the remainder of Taiyo, and today the brand is part of Parker Hannifin's pneumatics and automation programme.
What characterises Taiyo products?
Taiyo is known for efficient performance and a design well suited to demanding environments and continuous operation. The programme comprises several product lines, from standard models to customised solutions where, for example, stroke length, mounting type, choice of materials or sensor adaptation can be decisive.
In practice, Taiyo is often found in machines for production and assembly, where cylinders/actuators form part of handling, fixturing or linear movement.
