Prädifa has more than 60 years of experience in the design, development and manufacture of sealing systems and components in polymer materials, and is today part of Parker Hannifin. The solutions are used wherever there are demands for reliable sealing, long service life and documented material performance.

Product portfolio: from standard to custom-made

Parker Prädifa comprises a broad range of seals, from standard components to special designs where material and geometry are adapted to the application. Typical product families include:

O-rings (including to ISO 3601).
Hydraulic seals such as U-cups/PolyPak for piston and rod applications.
Profile and extruded seals as well as large O-rings.
Spring-energized PTFE seals for demanding media/temperatures.
Back-up rings (e.g. Parbak) to support O-rings at high pressure.
Performance materials, including PU compounds (e.g. Resilon).

Markets and typical applications

Prädifa products are used across industries such as automotive, oil & gas, process industry, life science and food. For applications with material requirements, selected materials may be relevant in relation to FDA and EC 1935/2004 (food contact) — the choice always depends on medium, temperature and operating profile.

Focus on development and validation

Parker Prädifa works purposefully with material development as well as process and production technology. The development work is supported by computer simulation, prototype development and chemical laboratories for development and testing, so seals can be validated for the specific function.
