Pirelli/ITR
Pirelli/ITR is one of the brands that has become part of Parker Hannifin over time. For many buyers and technicians, the names and corporate structure can therefore seem hard to keep track of. Here you get the short, technical background and what it means for you when choosing hoses for operations and maintenance.
From marine hoses to Parker ITR
In 1966, the Pirelli Group was active in the market for hoses for the marine industry through Pirelli Treg SpA. In 1990, ITR SpA (also part of the Pirelli Group) took over this business area. ITR was already known in Italy for hoses, fittings and rubber components for industrial purposes.
In 1993, ITR SpA was acquired by Saiag SpA. Later, in 2001, ITR Rubber Srl was established and the activities were transferred to it. In 2002, Parker Hannifin bought the company and continued it as Parker ITR with a particular focus on industrial hose solutions.
