At a time when artificial intelligence (AI) is really starting to make a practical difference in industry, Hymatik has made an active choice: to develop a Hymatik 2.0, where people and technology work together.
In Erhvervshus Fyn's podcast Maskinrummet, CEO Michael Harder talks about how Hymatik has approached the AI journey – and why it is about far more than software and systems.
"AI hasn't removed the work – it has freed up time and created headroom," says Michael Harder. "It means that our employees now have more room to think creatively, take the initiative and develop the company together."

Focus on people – not machines
Hymatik has invested both time and money in building in-house skills and understanding of artificial intelligence. That applies to everything from administration and marketing to the warehouse and technical support.
The aim has been to make AI a tool in day-to-day operations, not a project on the side.
Key elements of the work have been:
- Education and training: All employees have gained insight into how AI can support their tasks.
- Cross-disciplinary involvement: AI is used throughout the organisation – from the warehouse, shop and workshop to Marketing, IT and sales.
- Systematic implementation: Solutions are tested, evaluated and adjusted on an ongoing basis to ensure operational reliability and high quality.
The result is a more efficient and precise workflow, greater reliability in data, as well as better advice, time and support for our customers.

From digitalisation to value creation
Hymatik's AI efforts have led to measurable improvements:
- Shorter response times on customer enquiries.
- Better structure in documentation and product registration.
- Increased efficiency in internal processes.
But most importantly: employees who experience less pressure and greater job satisfaction, because routine tasks are increasingly handled by intelligent tools, leaving time for the fun, creative tasks that make the company grow.
"AI isn't about replacing employees – it's about giving them time to make the most of their professional skills," says Michael Harder.
