Transair compressed air system from Parker Legris – lightweight, leak-tight and scalable

Transair from Parker Legris is a modular piping system in aluminium and composite for compressed air, vacuum, nitrogen and argon. The system is designed for the highest air quality in accordance with ISO 8573, and offers low pressure drop and minimal leakage. With click/screw assembly, installations can be built, modified and expanded without welding, gluing or crimping – and without lengthy downtime.

Why choose Transair?

  • Fast installation: significantly shorter assembly time than steel/copper, no hot work or subsequent cleaning.
  • High flow and low pressure drop: smooth internal surface and full bore through the fittings.
  • Leak-tight and energy efficient: a lower leakage rate helps reduce energy consumption and TCO.
  • Corrosion-free and silicone-free: consistent quality over time, even in demanding environments.
  • Flexible and reusable: all components can be moved and reused when the layout changes.
  • Safety: non-flammable materials and components developed for industrial environments.

Typical applications

  • Production lines and assembly solutions with varying air demand
  • Workshops, bodywork and automotive paint shops (silicone-free advantage)
  • Food, pharmaceutical and electronics production (clean air, corrosion-free)
  • Nitrogen and argon supply in laboratories and industry
  • Retrofitting/replacing steel/copper and extending existing networks

A wide range of components and sizes

  • Pipes: lightweight aluminium pipes in several colour-coded series
  • Fittings and couplings: quick couplings, straight, T- and elbow fittings, adaptors
  • Hoses and drop lines: flexible drops to workstations
  • Valves, measuring points and end-of-line equipment
  • Brackets, clips and mountings for secure installation

Sizes and pressure ratings: typically available from approx. Ø16.5 mm to Ø168 mm and for pressures up to approx. 16 bar, depending on series, size and medium.

Integration with existing installations

Transair can be connected to existing steel and copper pipes via adaptor fittings without compromising performance. Ideal for step-by-step upgrades, where you replace the most critical runs first and gain energy savings straight away.

Quality, safety and the environment

  • Materials: corrosion-free aluminium and silicone-free components
  • Resistant to corrosion, vibration, temperature fluctuations and UV
  • Manufactured with a focus on recyclability – 100% recyclable pipes and fittings
  • Compatible with compressed air, vacuum, nitrogen and argon (check medium and series)

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What pressures and temperatures can Transair handle? It depends on the series and size; typically up to approx. 16 bar for compressed air and standard industrial temperature ranges. Contact us for the exact specification for your series and size.

Can I expand my existing steel piping system with Transair? Yes. Use adaptor fittings to connect to steel/copper and upgrade critical runs step by step.

How is a low pressure drop ensured? A smooth internal surface and full bore through the fittings provide high flow capacity. Correct sizing of main lines and drops is essential.

What about cleanliness and silicone? Transair components are silicone-free and corrosion-free, which supports stable and clean air quality.
